St Lucia Zouks take on Trinbago Knight Riders in the knock-out play-offs of CPL 2016 on August 4 at Warner Park in St Kitts. As in the case of cricket betting, the winner takes it all; while loser goes home. The winner of this will meet the losing side of the first play-offs match between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs in the final play-offs game.
This has all the makings of a cracking contest as both sides boast of some terrific T-20 players. By the looks of it, it is going to be Knight Riders’s bowling versus Zouks’ batting. Watch it for the thrill and play online betting with 12bet for the money.
St Lucia Zouks – Analysis
St Lucia Zouks perhaps have the most potent in-form batting unit in the whole of CPL: Johnson Charles, Shane Watson, Andre Fletcher, Grant Elliott, Michael Hussey, David Miller and Darren Sammy. They all may not play in the same eleven. But the team does have the wherewithal to start hitting out from the word go. They do not have any deficiencies in the bowling front either. They have three international frontline bowlers in Morne Morkel, Shane Shillingford and Jerome Taylor. You add Watson, Elliott and Sammy to the mix, it looks like a proper international-quality bowling unit.
The team finished third in the league stage, having garnered 12 points from 10 matches. They have won five of the last six matches. The momentum is going for them. If you want to pick a consistent team for cricket betting, they look a safe bet. The batsmen are in good hitting form, while the bowlers know how to take wickets at crucial moments.
Trinbago Knight Riders
Trinbago Knight Riders keep up the spirited legacy of Trinidad and Tobago cricketers in T-20 format. But they are inconsistent. They entered the play-offs as the fourth-place holders, thanks largely to the awful performance of the two bottom-dwellers: Barbados Tridents and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
Knight Riders boast of two of the most miserly T-20 bowlers: Dwayne Bravo and Sunil Narine. They have excellent back-up bowling options as well in Kevon Cooper and Sulieman Benn. It is not going to be easy to post big totals against them.
The team’s batting has not clicked as was expected. Hashim Amla is the surprise package. He has emerged as the batting mainstay, overshadowing the likes of Brendon McCullum, Colin Munro and Anton Devcich. They have tried even Ramnaresh Sarwan to offer a quick-fix to the batting woes. But it has not worked. Their batting will start clicking once McCullum finds his six-hitting touch.
Zouks won the first match of the league between these sides comfortably by six wickets. Knight Riders returned the compliment by winning by three wickets in the second match. The team that bats second is most likely to win this match as well.
St Lucia Zouks appear the form team. You make your pick with cricket betting at 12bet. The result may go the way of Knight Riders, particularly if Bravo, McCullum and Narine find form. At the moment, though, it looks all St Lucia Zouks.
