IPL 2017 offers two matches today:
- Rising Pune Supergiant vs Kings XI Punjab
- Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils
The Pune side will be the obvious favourite for the first match, while the second match will be more even. However both matches will be exciting for punters out there, but not so easy as the previous games. Here are our previews that would help you in picking right betting odds at 12BET.
Rising Pune Supergiant vs Kings XI Punjab
The Pune side made a winning start against Mumbai Indians. Their batting looks awesome, with Ajinkya Rahane and Steven Smith in terrific form. However, their death bowling could become their most vulnerable aspect, and it could lead them to their downfall in matches. Ashok Dinda leaked 30 runs in the final over of the match against Mumbai Indians. In fact, Dinda is the most expensive bowler in the IPL history as far as bowling the 20th over is concerned. Supergiant do not have many options either. Ben Stokes is the next option, but he himself is a poor 20th-over bowler.
Their spinners and slow bowlers look in excellent touch. Imran Tahir, Adam Zampa and Rajat Bhatia are hard to score off. They will be tested against the big hitters of the Punjab side – that is, the likes of skipper Glen Maxwell, Martin Guptill, David Miller, Eoin Morgan and Marcus Stoinis. If a couple of them get going Supergiant could be in trouble. Punjab Super Kings’ bowling appears somewhat undercooked. Even the late inclusion of Ishant Sharma did not seem to help much.
Prediction: Your bets should be more safe with Rising Pune Supergiants (check odds here).
Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils
This will be a cracker of a contest. This will test your cricket knowledge like no other match. Royal Challengers were below par in the first match in which they lost against Sun Risers in both batting and bowling . They miss the services of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Once Chris Gayle and Shane Watson go, there is not much heavyweight batting presence in their line-up. That is almost fatal for a team that depends on their batting to win matches. Kohli is likely to sit out for this match as well, but AB may play. That will boost the team’s confidence.
Delhi Daredevils, from outside, appear excellent mix of youth and experience. They have the right blend in both batting and bowling. However, they are also under injury scare, as both Quinton de Kock and JP Duminy are nursing injuries. They have some of the most interesting Indian young batsmen: Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson and Karun Nair. The bowling is safe in the hands of Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins, Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra. Angelo Mathews and Chris Morris can take all-rounder’s mantle. The team has talent and balance.
Prediction: They may not be the favourites of bookamkers (check odds here) . But Delhi Daredevils are going to win this.
