India will be facing Australia in the first T20 of the 3-match series at JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on 7th October, 2017. India will be going into the match unruffled, after their impressive wins in the ODI series. Australia will look to avenge their ODI series defeat tomorrow. Australia have an ordinary T20 record, and they have lost their last six T20s played against India. The venue at Ranchi has hosted just one T20 international so far. The pitch being more favourable to bat, we can expect the toss-winning team to bat first in this match. Cricket betting opportunities sure will be exciting in the upcoming series.
Australia – Preview
Australia are stepping into the field tomorrow with an overhauled squad, so it won’t be an easy task for them to play in good form from the start. If they aim for victory, they would have to start off strong and put pressure on the Indians. Considering the form team India have now, it’s nothing short of a challenge. Australia had a good practice session last day on tackling spinners. Talking to the media, the team’s left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff said “The morale of the team is good. We have had a couple of days to relax after the last match (fifth ODI in Nagpur). There is energy and excitement in the team.” By bringing in new players to the team, Australia looks ready to take on India and possibly win the match..
India – Preview
India have played five T20 internationals this year and have won three of those. The big change in the Indian squad tomorrow will be the return of Shikar Dhawan, after missing the ODIs. He loves to play against the Australians and would definitely be an added strength, if he can perform as expected. With the fierce and determined Virat Kohli and the cool MS Dhoni backing him up, the team is stronger than ever. Fast bowler Ashish Nehra and wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik have also made a comeback into the squad. Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur are the ones to have been left out.
