In the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders host Chennai Super Kings tomorrow at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This is a crucial match for KKR. They are fourth in the points table, with eight points from as many games. CSK is at the top of the table, with 12 points from eight matches. KKR will want to close the gap with the leaders. What better opportunity for them than now?
Kolkata Knight Riders – Preview
KKR have been inconsistent of late. They have an excellent team for the spin-friendly pitch like Eden Gardens. In Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav, they have spinners who provide both bite and variety. Their batting line-up is studded with a long line of explosive stroke makers too. They must be start favourites for cricket betting.
Their only problem is the sudden dip of form of Robin Uthappa. If he finds form, there will be no stopping of Knight Riders.
Chennai Super Kings – Preview
The best thing about Chennai Super Kings is that they innately have solutions to most of the problems. If it is a spin-friendly pitch, they have three good spinners – though none of them are not at the top of their bowling proves. In Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh and Karn Sharma, they have a handy line-up of experienced and skilful spinners.
Their batting, if it clicks, can be the most dangerous in the tournament. Shane Watson has roared back to form in the last match, while Ambati Raydu and MS Dhoni have been fairly consistent. One cannot simply write off CSK for online betting. They have a chance of winning every game till it becomes statistically impossible to win.
Prediction for cricket betting: It will be a close call. Kolkata Knight Riders are more desperate. So it is going to be the Kolkata team.
