Euro 2016 Finals: Portugal vs. France
Match Venue: Stade de France
Match Date: 10 July 2016
A great match up is soon to take place as Portugal meets France in the finals of European Cup this weekend.
A lot didn’t foresee that both teams will meet each other to determine who will be the next title winner, but yes both team had an amazing journey on their way to the finals.
Portugal had a hard time proving that they are strong enough, their performance is not as impressive enough compared to their rival. They had struggle from the group stage up to the quarter finals, but they managed to end the rumors by beating Wales in the semis.
Finally the combination of Ronaldo and Nani worked, and it pay them big time as they made it to the last leg of the tournament. Fernando Santos is happy with the achievements that his men had and he is confident enough as they meet the host this season.
Although there are doubts on his team performance, Santos still see the best of them. The challenge is now on as he tries to push his players beyond their limit in order to surpass the heat that France will throw against them.
Meanwhile, France had an amazing journey from the start of the tournament up to this point. A sweet revenge was made by Didier Deschamps side after sweeping away Germany, one of the giants in the tournament.
It was the hard work and dedication of Antoine Griezmann who gets to conceal two goals. His combination with Matuidi will be a threat for their contender. The great advantage is also within them as the game will take place right on their home court.
Deschamps and his club were currently enjoying the momentum that they had and were confident enough to own this game over the Portuguese.
The upper hand is within France as they are having a great time in the European tournament. On the other hand Portugal needs to find a way on how they will break the good line-up and attacking defence that the French have.
The host will capitalize in this campaign if their contender will still have a hard time on creating goal chances and finding an open space to create a play.
