Match Venue: Stade Pierre-Mauroy
Match Date: 22 June 2016

Italy gets to dominate on their two last games in European Cup earning them the advantage of making it to the round of 16. Another match will be in favored of them as they face Ireland who felt frustrated with their clash over Belgium.

Team Analysis

Italy

A late goal against Sweden had earned Italy the ticket to the next leg of the competition. They were confirmed as the group winner after the Belgians had their momentum win over Ireland.

Antonio Conte didn’t expect a late goal, but it did happen as Eder conceal the third goal in the group stage that they will need in order to get in the next round. The Italian coach was happy with the result as he sees his players give all their best to prove that they really deserve to make it on the following leg of the tournament.

Winning their last match in the group stage will provide the other team the chill on facing them as they progress in the competition, and end the speculation that the squad is not strong enough.

Ireland

The men in green were left powerless after a humiliating defeat over Belgium. With that the Irish squad needs to ensure that they will be able to beat Italy or they will be out in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Martin O’Neill tries to keep his composure after the defeat saying that he was disappointed on how his men played that is way more different on what they did in their rally against Sweden. Looking forward, the Irish coach expects to redeem themselves back after the said campaign.

As for who will do the run for the Ireland side, it will be James McCarthy and Ciaran Clark that had an impressive stunt during the friendlies and qualifying round.

Prediction

Italy will get to dominate in the said campaign and will try to have a consecutive five winning clean sheet in the Euro 2016.
