Arsene Wenger to keep Danny Welbeck at Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admired the quality of playing style that has been given by forward Danny Welbeck to the team.

Despite of being struggled with injuries throughout Welbeck’s career, Wenger admitted that he wants to keep the 27-year-old England international striker even if he’s not a goal scorer like Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane. (Don’t forget to check 12BET for more Soccer Betting Tips)

“I want to keep him [Welbeck] because I believe he has gone through a torrid time. He has come out well. I see signs in training now that are positive. If he can stay on the pitch and not be injured, I want him to stay here. I like him because he can play left, right or up front. For me he is a useful player, first of all because of his quality. He might not be a goal scorer like Harry Kane for example, but for England he can perfectly play with Harry Kane because he can play on the flanks.” Wenger said

As of now, Welbeck, who joined at the Emirates Stadium from Manchester United in 2014, just scored a total of 22 goals over his four seasons with the Gunners.

In addition, he is more likely to play in the UEFA Europa League when Arsenal hosts Ostersunds FK tomorrow, February 23, 2018 at 4:05 AM. (Sign Up now for more updated news and sports events)

Welbeck’s first-team opportunities this season has been limited but he can probably show his worth again to Wenger after Alexander Lacazette has been ruled out due to a long-term knee injury.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also could not play in the said league because his old club Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal are in the same competition.
