Ousmane Dembele could make a return in time for Barcelona’s December Clasico against long-time rivals, Real Madrid.
Dembele sustained an injury which required for a surgery on his tendon after only his third appearance since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund.
Initially, the star player has been ruled out until early next year. However, manager Ernesto Valverde said last week that the newly signed could be back before the match against Real Madrid takes place.
“It is going quicker than expected,” Oravi, who operated on Dembele in September, told Cadena SER.
“He already said he wants to come back before the planned date, but we don’t know if that will be possible.
“Could he play against Madrid? Maybe, maybe… but I can’t assure you of anything,” Oravi disclosed and furthered that the 20-year-old Frenchman is now doing training in sandpits that Barca own.
Meanwhile, Barca will face Leganes on the third week of November after the international break. Unfortunately, Ernesto Valverde’s squad will enter the match without Sergi Roberto, Andre Gomes, Rafinha, and Arda Turan,
