As he steps up his recovery, France International Benjamin Mendy is getting closer on his first appearance for Manchester City.
Mendy has trained already with his new teammates and to City boss Pep Guardiola.
The 23-year-old defender had been suffering a thigh injury since his completed summer transfer from AS Monaco where he became the world’s most expensive defender signing on a six year deal worth £52 million.
Mendy has missed the opening of the Premier League where had City won a comfortable 2-0 victory over & Hove Albion F.C.
Right now, the France left-back is expected to be available for their home match against Everton on Tuesday after he took part the training session in Spain.
City will have a friendly match against newly promoted La Liga side Girona FC.
Mendy was the third full-back to join the club this summer following the signings of Kyle Walker and Danilo.
