Burnley has announced their first signing of the January transfer window with Georges-Kevin Nkoudou joining the club on a loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
Base on the statement in the club’s official website, Nkoudou’s deal will run until the remainder of the season and he will wear the No. 7 shirt for The Clarets.
“I have come here, to find football. I knew Sean Dyche is a big manager who likes young players and players who go forward, so it suits my character to come here and I am happy to work with him. I hope to help the club. If I can, I will. But the last word is with the manager. If he puts me on the pitch I will do everything to help the team go forward. I am ready to play and waiting on the starting blocks. If the manager puts me on the pitch I will do everything on the pitch.”
The 22-year-old midfielder came from Marseille in 2016 and moved to Tottenham with his 10 goals in 41 appearances with the former Ligue 1 champions.
However, he failed to make an impression with the Spurs, where he just made six appearances this season and a total of 22 since his summer transfer.
