Captain of Northern Ireland U17 Ethan Galbraith is set to close deal at Manchester United following a series of negotiations.
The 16-year-old could already move in the club in the coming days as revealed by Northern Ireland Football association.
Jim Magilton, the Irish FA’s elite performance director said in a statement,“ We are all delighted that Ethan has signed for Manchester United.
“He has been a part of out elite development programme from the beginning, and we have been able to watch with enormous pride the huge progress he has made during that journey over the past four years.
“He was a pleasure to work with due to his character, attitude, and enthusiasm for the game. He is an outstanding talent and I’m sure he will continue to develop and improve at such a fantastic club.”
Galbraith initially joined with Kieran McKenna’s U18 side, who made his first-team debut in May.
The team captain is also the latest youth signing since former United midfielder Nicky Butt became the head of the academy.
