Real Madrid CF has confirmed that Karim Benzema agreed to extend his contract.
According to the club, Benzema signed a four year contract that will tie him to the club until June 30, 2021.
The 29-year-old striker is the fourth Los Blancos player to commit and accept the deal after right-back Dani Carvajal, left-back Marcelo and midfielder Isco.
Since joining from the French side Lyon in 2009, Benzema has scored 181 goals already in 371 appearances for Real.
In addition the France international has won 14 trophies at the Bernabeu that includes three Champions League award and two for La Liga.
Benzema, who has been linked in recent years with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, said that he is already contented in Madrid.
“As a forward, when you’re at a club and you’re a first-team regular, you don’t need to look elsewhere — especially when you’re at a club like Real Madrid.” Benzema recently expressed
Meanwhile, manager Zinedine Zidane has also signed new contract however the deal has no yet been formally announced.
“In terms of the renewal, it’s already done. I care about the day to day and I’m not looking further than that.” Zidane said
