It has been a highly entertaining match indeed between Stoke City and Manchester United at Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent.
Summer signing Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored twice that led the Potters to a 2-2 draw as Stoke ended Manchester United’s perfect start to the 2017/18 Premier League season. (Check 12BET for more Soccer Betting Tips)
Manchester started to concede a goal when the Stoke City forward Choupo-Moting netted his first for the club in the 43rd minute of the match.
However, three minutes later, the Red Devils equalized the game after Paul Pogba’s header from six yards but the ball went to the back of Marcus Rashford’s head and flies at the top right of the net.
Pogba celebrated the goal and Rashford does not claim it, but the score will surely go to the 19-year-old forward.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku put United in front with his goal in the 57th minute but Choupo-Moting scored a simple header from close range to make it 2-2 in the 63rd minute.
The draw ends Manchester United three consecutive victories in the Premier League and they return to the top of the table on a goal difference from Manchester City.
Moving forward, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is not happy with the draw but accepted the result of the game.
“I’m not satisfied with a point because we were the team closer to winning. It is a result I accept, though.”
