Paul Pogba has proved his worth in Manchester United as his side hosted Stoke City in a convincing 3-0 victory at the Old Trafford for a domestic duel.
Despite not being able to deliver a goal, Pogba was certainly the beating heart of United’s victory over the struggling Potters.
The 24-year-old star provided two clever assists as his team ran the game with an aim to uphold the second spot in the Premier League table (check out the best betting odds).
At the 9th minute, Antonio Valencia managed to shoot past the hapless goal keeper Jack Butland through the perfect assist of Paul Pogba.
30 minutes later, Anthony Martial made sure that United will have the upper hand in the game as he fired the club’s second goal—still with the impeccable assist of Pogba.
With the stunts, the French international is now level with Kevin De Bruyne who also managed to have his 9th assists in this term.
In a post-match interview, Manchester United claimed that he was relatively unsatisfied: “I didn’t like the first half. I only liked the two amazing goals,” he said.
The hosts’ second was as good as their first with Lukaku running down the right, turning the ball back inside to Pogba who had the presence of mind and vision to move it across goal, with a ‘no-look pass’, where it was met by Anthony Martial who struck a precise first-time, side-footed shot that curled around Butland and high into the net (Sign Up on 12BET to catch the latest Sportsbook).
Nevertheless, the match turned out very promising for the squad of Mourinho. His men were able to reduce the goal gaps from Manchester City to 12 with a resounding victory through the fine performance of players but mostly from Paul Pogba.
