Real Madrid has announced that defender Raphael Varane inked and agreed to a new five-year contract until 2022.
According to the club, the France international centre-back will stay with the European champions until the end of 2021/22 season.
“Real Madrid and Varane have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which will see him remain at the club until June 30, 2022.” The club statement said
Varane is the latest player to commit his long-term future to the Spanish champions after teammates Karim Benzema, Marcelo, Isco, Dani Carvajal and Marcos Llorente extended their contracts in recently.
The 24-year-old defender, who joined from RC Lens in 2011, has won 13 trophies that include three Champions League and two La Liga titles for Real Madrid. (Check 12BET for more Football Betting Tips)
Varane’s previous contract at the Bernabeu is set to expire in 2020 and he established himself as a crucial part of Los Blancos success under head coach Zinedine Zidane.
