RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick addressed that Naby Keita will not be allowed to join Liverpool when the transfer window re-opens in January.
According to Rangnick, Keita is very hard working and he will remain a Leipzig player until the end of the season as they are looking to qualify for the Champions League for the second time.
“Even if we should not reach the knockout stages of Champions League, it would make no sense to allow Naby to join Liverpool earlier. We want to qualify for Europe again and we need Naby for that. Naby’s easy-going. It’s hard not to get on well with him. Naby trains well, plays well, and is always on time. He’s popular in the team.” Rangnick said to Leipziger Volkszeitung
Going back, last August, Liverpool had a deal with Leipzig worth an initial £51 million for the 22-year-old midfielder, who will officially join Merseyside club on July 1, 2018. (Check 12BET for more Soccer Betting Tips)
Moving forward, Keita has scored two goals and one assist so far this season with his current club but already received three red cards during the campaign where two came from Leipzig and one in the international duty with Guinea.
