Manchester United Romelu Lukaku will avoid jail time after paying $450 fine to LA police for repeated callouts over loud parties in summer.
Authorities said that they have filed a citation to Lukaku after police received five complaints at a Beverly Hills residence, where the 24-year-old star lives.
The charge could have taken effect with the maximum sentence of six months in a county jail or a $1,000 (£760) fine.
Commissioner Jane Godfrey, overseeing the case, said: “They are reaching a disposition in this case that the first thing that must happen is the defendant must pay Beverly Hills Police Department $450 for multiple response calls.”
James Eckart, for the city, and Lukaku’s lawyer, Robert Humphreys, accepted the arrangement. The case is bound to be heard again at Los Angeles Airport Courthouse on the 18th of December.
Meanwhile, Antoine Griezmann has admitted that a Manchester United move could be a possibility after having been linked to the club last summer. He said that the chance of joining Jose Mourinho’s squad at the Old Trafford is six out of 10.
