Tottenham Hotspur Fired Back to beat Dortmund 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund in a sold out crowd at the Signal Iduna Park.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired the opening goal to take the lead in the 31st minute of the first half for Dortmund.

However, Harry Kane turned things around when he equalized the game in the second half with a clinical finish from the edge of the box in the 49th minute to get sixth goal in the season’s tournament.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-Min sealed the victory for the Spurs in the 76th minute of the match with an assist from Dele Ali.

“It’s a tough place to come and to come from behind and win, so it’s a fantastic night. It was a big goal. Being 1-0 down here it always was going to be tough, but we knew there was always going to be chances and if we could just take one then we’d be right in the game and we thought we could go on and win it. It was a good ball from Dele and I just got it out of my feet and through the defender’s legs and was delighted to see it go in and what a finish by Sonny for the second goal. Fantastic.” Kane stated

With the result, Tottenham clinched the top spot in Group H in the Champions League.
