Indian Super League is picking up pace and excitement. North East United FC has emerged as the surprise leaders after more than three rounds of action. They have registered three wins from four games and stormed to the top position of the league. Mumbai City FC is second with seven points. The next few days will see some exciting matches, as the teams now know about each other’s strengths and weaknesses. It is a good chance to involve smartly in online betting too.
Preview: Chennaiyin FC vs FC Goa
This is going to be a rematch of last year’s final, held in Goa, which the Chennai side won in dramatic fashion. This must be a grudge match for Goa. The match will be held later today at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The Goan side played well in the last match against Pune City, but still lost the match. Their attacking looks enterprising. But they lack solidity in defence. Chennaiyin FC will be keen to to exploit that weakness. However, they are also yet to register their first win. Their defence is in fact shakier than Goa’s. They have conceded five goals in two matches, the most by any team at the moment.
These two teams have played five matches so far against each other. Chennaiyin FC won three matches, while FC Goa won two. The matches between these sides have been high-scoring affairs. Expect goals and expect thrilling counter attacks. FC Goa look poised for extracting revenge.
Kerala Blasters FC vs Mumbai City FC
Only one thing is certain about Kerala Blasters FC. Rain or shine, more than 50000 vociferous fans will attend the match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, tomorrow. It is almost certain that Blasters will disappoint these fans. They are the only team remaining in the league who has not scored a single goal. The fact is that they have not even created too many chances for goals.
Mumbai City FC, on the other hand, look thoroughly professional. They have a good all-round team with no apparent loopholes. They play their percentages well and managed two wins and a draw from their three matches.
What makes the matters worse for the Blasters fans is their team’s previous record against the Mumbai outfit. Blasters have not defeated Mumbai City FC in four attempts. There have been three draws (including two goal-less draws) and a defeat. Conspiracy theorists can attribute it to the fact that Mumbai is the home city Sachin Tendulkar, one of the owners of Kerala Blasters. But the truth is that both sides play out defensive game. What are the odds for yet another goalless draw in online betting?
Delhi Dynamos FC vs North East United FC
The league leaders clash against one of the most exciting teams in the fray. Delhi Dynamos has improved by leaps and bounds from the last year. If North East can win this match, they can consolidate their position at the top. Both the teams are evenly matched at the moment. It would not be a surprise if these teams play in the final of the ISL.
