Borussia Dortmund’s midfielder decided to move to Manchester United with an offer of £26.3m. A four year contract was signed by the 27-year old Armenian international, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The attacker from Bundesliga said that it was a dream come true, and that he was proud to join the Red Devils side. He was thankful with the opportunity that the club and Jose Mourinho have given to him. He was also excited for the new season with the said squad and is in hope of a having a successful stunt.
Henrikh also stated that, “Finally, I believe playing for such a great club honours my father’s memory, and the inspiration and drive he gave to me when I was young.”
Jose Mourinho explained that the attacker is very talented. Furthermore he gets to have an impressive performance on both of his former club and his country. A real team player indeed, he has the skill of helping in capitalizing the ball and at the same time creates good scoring chances.
The United boss also gave him a warm welcome, he is sure with the fact that Henrikh will get to adapt in the Old Trafford environment quickly.
Henrikh is the third player to join the team of Manchester United together with Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Meanwhile, Dortmund allowed him to move out from the German competition eventhough he is the current Bundesliga players’ player of the season. The question now is who will be able to create a play for them since they have already lost important key players like Ilkay Gundogan.
