Free agent forward Jonas Jerebko is now an official member of the Utah Jazz.
In his Twitter account, Jerebko posted a photo wearing Jazz basketball shirt and cap while signing the contract with a caption: “I grew up a fan of the @utahjazz and now its official! Can’t wait to join this amazing organization. Time to go to work #TakeNote”
The franchise also confirmed that they signed the 30-year-old Swedish native to a multi-year contract but as per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, according to the reports, both sides have agreed to a two-year deal worth $8.2 million.
Jerebko spent and played two seasons with the Boston Celtics and got an averaged 3.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 15.8 minutes last season where he appeared in 78 games with six starts.
The veteran forward was drafted as the 39th overall selection in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons then he was traded in 2015 of February for Tayshaun Prince.
Jerebko has a career averaged of 6.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in his 488 career games with 94 starts over seven NBA seasons with Pistons and Celtics.
According to the Jazz, the 30-year-old forward will wear jersey No. 8.
