Russian Konstantin Kravchuk produced an upset to the 5th seeded Dominican Victor Estrella Burgos in the first round of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
Kravchuk dominated the match to defeat Burgos with a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 victory in Newport.
Meanwhile, 7th seeded Tenny Sandgren also suffered an early exit from the Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open to Canadian Frank Dancevic.
Dancevic beat Sandgren with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 win in three sets.
On the other match results, Slovakian 6th seeded Lukas Lacko reached the next round as he outplayed American Reilly Opelka 7-6 (9-7), 6-4.
Moreover, Australian Samuel Groth set up a second-round match overt top seeded John Isner.
Groth beat fellow qualifier Austin Krajicek with a close game 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 triumph, who faced match point to advance. In addition, Groth had 23 aces and 13 double faults.
Lastly, Australian qualifier Matthew Ebden knocked out the two-time Newport champion Rajeev Ram to a 6-1, 6-4 score card.
