Bowling wise, Harshal Patel has been leading the charts this season. He has picked 30 wickets so far and two more will take him to a single season record. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammed Siraj are the other bowlers delivering consistently.

The Kolkata Knight Riders qualified after the Mumbai Indians could not secure a 171 run win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. KKR on the other hand defeated the Rajasthan Royals by a massive 86 runs. After scoring a par 174 runs on the back of Shubman Gill’s half century and a steady 38 run knock by Venkatesh Iyer, the 2014 champions managed to restrict the Royals for 85 runs. Shivam Mavi was named man of the match for recording his best IPL figures – 4/21. Lockie Ferguson was the other bowler who performed brilliantly. The Kiwi picked three wickets at an economy rate of 4.50 runs per over.
Kolkata have reached the playoffs after winning five of their seven games in the UAE leg. They have seen a boost with Shkib Al Hasan coming in for an injured Andre Russell. They have seen the likes of Iyer, Gill and Nitish Rana step up to take the team to the top four.
