The Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers will face off each other after contrasting starts to their campaigns. Both teams did well in the IPL 2021 tournament. However, they would want more of the same now. While the Knight Riders will look forward to continuing their excellent start after getting the better of the Chennai Super Kings in the opener, the Royal Challengers will be desperate to bounce back after their bowling attack failed to back up the good work done by their batsmen in their opening loss against Punjab.
All this will definitely add to a contest to watch out for. The least we can expect is a great cricket match as fans, with both sets of players looking to impress. KKR will be the team with the momentum at present after beating CSK.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
The boys from Bengaluru will have their work cut out after their bowlers failed to deliver in defending a mammoth 205. The batting order seems to be well-settled based on the brilliant performances by all the batsmen. The team management will, however, need to have a look at the bowling department because failure to defend 205 will definitely raise questions as to how much of a target is enough to defend. The bowling will definitely have to improve if they need to win, starting from this game.
Kolkata Knight Riders
The Knight Riders have started the season with a bang. The bowling attack fired on all cylinders, and the batsmen also complemented them gracefully by chasing the target with minimum fuss. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, the Knights look like a complete unit and a very dangerous outfit. However, they will be wary of complacency and will look to continue the good work by doing more of the same in this game as well.
KKR has the advantage in the Head-to-Head between the two sides, winning 16 out of the 29 matches that they have played since the beginning of this tournament way back in 2008. In the last 5 games between the two sides, however, it is RCB who have the advantage, with a 3-2 record against the Knights.
RCB is hurting after squandering a game where they should have been victorious, whereas KKR enters this game full of confidence after soundly beating the defending champs. Expect KKR to continue their winning run after this match as well.
