The Caribbean Premier League is getting intense with every game. Teams are starting to find the right rhythm in their play along with the perfect combination of players. Last season’s champions Barbados Tridents have had a topsy-turvy ride this campaign. They have been very inconsistent while their upcoming opponents, Trinbago Knight Riders have been in exceptional form. Therefore, they are on the top of the standings with four wins out of their first four fixtures.
The clash between the Tridents and the Knight Riders will take place on August 29 at the Queen’s Park Oval.
The Tridents are coming to this fixture on the back of a resurgent victory against the Jamaica Tallawahs. The Tridents batted first and posted only 148 with only Kevin Mayers scoring an influential knock of 85 runs as he continuously ran out of partners on the other end. However, the Tridents redeemed themselves with a great bowling performance as bowlers like Mitchell Santner, Raymon Reifer, Rashid Khan and Jason Holder all chipped in with two wickets each as the Tallawahs could only manage 112/9 at the end of 20 overs.
