Raheem Sterling has never been amongst the most popular players in the Premier League but one thing is for sure—he keeps getting better.
There might have been some period in the 22-year-old’s career when he seemed plateau. Fortunately, this never hindered him from rising to new challenges especially this season at Manchester City.
The 22-year-old midfielder has thrived under the supervision of Pep Guardiola who was paid £49 million to complete his transfer from Liverpool to Etihad Stadium.
Too often in the past Guardiola said that Sterling was always caught with his back to gal leading to a sideways pass or too many touches on the ball which gives way foo oppositions’ defenders to close him down.
Definitely, Guardiola wants more than that. The 46-year-old City boss urged him to be more direct and dangerous.
Furthermore, Guardiola sees that there is still room for Sterling’s improvement as he goes through further development.
But fair enough, Sterling continues to improve and impress crowds. Relatively as well, he has the ability to become one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers.
